Privacy policy for the barmaapp.com site
This is the privacy policy for the barmaapp.com site. It describes how the site handles visitors' data. The policy takes effect when this page is published.
It covers the site only. The BARMA mobile app is not part of this policy: the app has not been released, so before it is released the policy will be extended with sections about the app.
In short
- The site collects no personal data: it has no forms and no input fields at all.
- The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, counters, pixels or tag managers.
- The only thing the site stores in your browser is your chosen interface language. That value stays with you and is not sent to the server.
- The server keeps an access log, which includes the visitor's IP address. The log is used for security and diagnostics and is kept for up to 30 days.
- The servers are physically located in Germany, that is, in the European Union.
- The only way to reach us is by email at appbarma@gmail.com — a Gmail mailbox, that is, a Google service.
- The owner of the site is PRAGMEX LLP, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
What data the site does not collect
The site is a static page: a set of ready-made files that the server hands over exactly as they are. The site has no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, no registration or login, no account area, no cart, no checkout, no payment and no comments.
That is exactly why we can state that no personal data is collected through the site: there is nowhere to pass it. We receive no name, no phone number, no email address and no payment details — neither from you nor from anyone else through the site.
The site sets no cookies, neither its own nor third-party ones. It does not use Google Analytics, Yandex.Metrica, visitor counters, advertising pixels or tag managers. Visitors' behaviour is not tracked and no profiles are built.
The video plays from our own server, not from YouTube, Vimeo or another external video host.
What does reach the server
The access log
The site is served by the Caddy web server. Like any web server, it keeps an access log: every request to the site is written to it. An entry contains the IP address the request came from, the time of the request, the requested path, and the User-Agent string — a technical description of the browser and operating system.
This is the only information about a visitor that ever reaches us.
Why the log is needed. For security and diagnostics. It shows failures on the site, traffic spikes and attempts to guess service paths by automated scanners. Without the log, such requests would go unnoticed. The log is not used for advertising, analytics or building profiles.
How long the log is kept. Up to 30 days. After that, the records are deleted automatically.
What is stored in your browser
The only thing the site stores on your device is your chosen interface language. It sits in the browser's local storage under the key barma.lang.
This is needed purely for convenience: so that your next visit opens the version in the language you chose. The value stays in your browser, is not sent to the server and is not shared with third parties. It is not a cookie. You can remove it together with the site's data in your browser settings. If local storage is unavailable — in private browsing, for example — the site simply opens the Russian version.
Where the servers are
The site is hosted on a server in Nuremberg, Germany. The access log — the only data connected with visiting the site — is processed within the European Union.
Third-party services
The site makes no requests to third-party services. The typefaces and the animation library sit on our server and load from it, so when a page opens the visitor's browser does not connect to any outside domain. There is no Google Analytics, Yandex.Metrica, visitor counter, advertising pixel or tag manager on the site.
The one thing that goes outside our server is correspondence by email, which runs through Gmail. That is covered in "Correspondence by email".
Correspondence by email
The only channel for reaching us is appbarma@gmail.com. It is a Gmail mailbox, that is, a Google service, and this matters: when you write to us, the message is stored on Google's servers and handled under their rules, not only under ours.
We see what you send: your address, the text of the message and any attachments. We use the correspondence to answer your question and we do not add your address to any mailing list.
Your rights
You can at any time:
- find out what data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is inaccurate;
- delete it.
Any of these rights is exercised by writing to appbarma@gmail.com. Describe what you need. If you have written to us before and want that correspondence deleted, say so in your message.
Data we do not hold does not need deleting. Practically everything we may hold is the access log and your correspondence with us.
Who is responsible for the data
The owner of the site and the data controller is PRAGMEX LLP (ТОО «PRAGMEX»), BIN 220840038883, Almaty, Kazakhstan. The company develops the site and the BARMA app.
Write to appbarma@gmail.com about any question concerning data or this policy — there are no other addresses or phone numbers for such requests.
Children
The site does not know and cannot know a visitor's age: there is no sign-up, no login and no questionnaire, so there is nowhere to ask for it. The site collects no data by which a child could be distinguished from an adult, so we hold no children's personal data either.
The access log is kept identically for every visitor regardless of age and is described above. There is no separate mode or separate set of rules for children on the site.
When the BARMA app ships, a separate section on age will appear here: the app will have accounts, and with them the obligation to draw that line.
About the BARMA app
The BARMA mobile app has not been released yet. This policy describes the site only and does not cover the app: it does not say what data the app will collect, where that data will be stored or to whom it will be passed.
The app will work with data the site does not have. Until then, none of what is written here applies to the app.
Changes to this policy
The policy may be updated. A new version is always published on this page, and from the moment of publication it is the version in force. No separate notice will be sent by email: the site does not collect addresses for mailing lists.
